Frequencies for
focus and calm

Every tone here is built from scratch — exact frequencies, generated to loop seamlessly, with the numbers published so you can check them yourself.

No sampled tracks. No library music. No AI-generated audio. No miracle claims.

What's here

Three formats, each doing one job properly.

Gamma binaural

40 Hz · 174 / 214 Hz carriers

For deep work, study and long focus sessions. Headphones required.

Pure tones

no music · no pads

Just the frequency and nothing else. The most honest version of the format.

Solfeggio

396 · 639 · 963 Hz

Sustained, consonant tones that rotate in turn. For calm and winding down.

How binaural beats actually work

A binaural beat isn't played to you. Two slightly different tones go to each ear — 174 Hz on the left, 214 Hz on the right — and your brainstem produces the 40 Hz difference between them.

That's why headphones are required. On speakers the two tones mix in the air before they reach you, and the effect doesn't happen.

It also means the frequencies are checkable. Ours are stated on every video, and the channel separation is measured rather than assumed — over 70 dB on the binaural tracks, so each ear really does receive only its own tone.

Why 40 Hz

Of every frequency in this genre, 40 Hz is the one with serious research behind it. Li-Huei Tsai's lab at MIT studies 40 Hz sensory stimulation under the name GENUS — Gamma Entrainment Using Sensory Stimulation.

The human work is early and small, and we'd rather say so plainly than dress it up. The papers are linked in our video descriptions so you can read them instead of taking our word for it: the 2026 review and the two-year extension study.

We'd rather tell you where the evidence is thin than sell you a miracle.
